If so, then Lavender oil is essential for you to have! Lavender has a myriad amount of benefits and is a fan favorite for so many people.I always have a Lavender essential oil in my collection.

Facts about Lavender Essential Oil:

  • Lavender essential oil comes from the Lavender plant.
  • Scientific name for the Lavender plant is Lavandula Angustifolia
  • This plant can be found in the Provence region of France and other dry, well-drained, sandy soil like the state of Washington and California.

How to use Lavender Essential oil:

  • Topical:Always use a carrier oil when applying essential oils to your skin. Lavender is a great antifungal and antibacterial oil. You can also put Lavender oil in your self-care products like shampoo to help with dandruff or body lotion to help with eczema. You can even use it on it's own to treat the areas that need to be treated, just make sure to use a carrier oil.
  • Oral:This is NOT recommended, unless you know it is a pure oil and you know where it comes from and the source. You never want to put anything in your body that you are unfamiliar with, especially if this isn't a good quality oil. If you ingest it can cause constipation, headache and increased appetite.
  • Diffuse / inhale: Diffuse Lavender throughout your home at night to help you sleep or during the day to keep you calm and relaxed.

  • Ease Sunburn: Combine with Aloe Vera to help ease sunburn since Lavender has antiseptic and antimicrobial properties.
  • Aids in healing wounds: With a carrier oil (vitamin E, coconut oil, castor oil) apply to the wound to speed up the repair of the damaged tissue.
